The book and this movie has been a sensation ever since it came out in 2007 and has enchanted fans all over the world. There is so much to say about this film, yet so little. If you need to be convinced why you should buy the DVD, let me tell you: It is an amazing adventure with whimsical lessons of love, friendship and bravery. It has beloved actors such as Robert Pattinson, David Yowie and Clare Danes. It is a classic book that always has touches of magic and wit. It has a great story with many twists and turns. The film has an atmosphere that is unforgettable and you will laugh, cry and gasp as you watch this beautiful masterpiece of art. The movie was directed by David Yates, who earlier directed the Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix (2007) and helped give guidance on the endings for each of these movies. Wait a minute, is there more than one movie? This is not surprising as there are eight books. The first two movies, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), were directed by Chris Columbus. The third movie was directed by Alfonso Cuaron and he started a new series of movies that followed the books closely. Before him, Mike Newell also directed another of the Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). David Yates has helped direct many parts of these films such as Order of Phoenix (2007) and now these final two parts for which he has been awarded BAFTA nominations twice. He is one of our most talented and respected directors in the industry today. James Newman who was assistant director for The Tale of Despereaux (2006) also made his debut with this film. It has been directed by David Yates so far so there are probably some great people who will be the big names in his works next. He has worked on many other movies but he did not have a direct part in any of them. The movie, adapted from the book, looks at Harry's life during his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which coincides with Voldemort's first rise to power after being defeated in 1943 by Albus Dumbledore. The Ministry of Magic is in denial and refuses to acknowledge Voldemort's return and, along with it, the resurrection of his Death Eaters. The Order of the Phoenix is reinstated by the Ministry to fight the Death Eaters. The Ministry appoints Dolores Umbridge as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, but she later becomes Hogwarts High Inquisitor and then Headmistress.
