Get the latest patch. Especially since for some unknown reason players, especially younger ones find the racing mission impossible, and they first reduced its difficulty to zero in the first patch, then added back a difficulty selector. There are also a few possible script errors resulting in soft locks, and the patches addressed some of them.As for modern compatibility, you need to mess around to reduce the shadow issues, but it can be done. I played it through on Win10, and it was doable. I don't remember where I found the guides to set it up properly though. :(Oh, and if it is the CD version, patch it then crack it. Much easier to run this way, and luckily not even illegal.

Mafia 1 1.3 Patch

I installed the 1.3 patch. It seems to run much better speeds now and is more manageable. Unfortunately the music sometimes stops playing entirely and the shadows are still flickering and glitch, but it runs and appears to be the speed of play and looking around that it should be.

I was going to say it looks like the 1.3 patch is available at the Patches Scrolls website, which is somehow still around, but since you already found a patch never mind... :) And if you haven't already, later play Mafia II for an interesting easter egg type thing in one mission... :)

The developers clarified that update 1.3.1 will take from 14 GB on PS5 to 34 GB on Xbox Series XS in download size. The patch will be deployed on all platforms at 2pm CEST, 8am ET, 5am PT, and 10pm AEST.

On top of that, you're getting a bunch of co-op fixes, a new quest, a load of gameplay adjustments, and, perhaps overlooked near the bottom of the patch notes, an adjustable field of view slider on PS5 specifically.

UPDATE: Animal Crossing update 1.3 can be downloaded now on Switch consoles, with full New Horizons patch notes also available to view. You can find the complete changelog from Nintendo at the bottom of this article, along with how to update your game.

CD Projekt Red really did bungle Cyberpunk 2077's launch back in December of 2020. The game launched with insane bugs, complete instability on last-gen consoles, and a multitude of problems which made it nigh-on unplayable when it launched. More than half a year on, we're still getting some insanely huge patches, and the game is still not totally up-to-scratch. Here are the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.3 Patch Notes...

Cyberpunk 2077's hefty Patch 1.3 has been unleashed into the wild. The new patch is now available on all platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia. The PC version of the thing is over 33 GB, which isn't all that surprising given the sheer length of the patch notes.

Speaking of patch notes, we've decided to comb through them and picked out some bullet points that made us chuckle. Without further ado, here are some funny lines from Cyberpunk 2077's latest patch notes:

Majima's attire remains mostly the same throughout the series, usually consisting of a yellow boa print snakeskin blazer, a gold chain, black leather pants, a black leather belt with a silver buckle, black leather gloves, and black steel toed snakeskin dress shoes. In Yakuza 0, 1, and 2, his eyepatch is blank. From Yakuza 3 onward, his eyepatch is adorned with a silver snake. 2ff7e9595c
